Ashley (she/her) is a registered social worker with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW) and holds both a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. She has over 14 years of social work experience, including clinical practice with individuals and families across a variety of settings in both the public and private sectors.

Ashley’s practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, with a focus on creating safe, neurodivergent and inclusive spaces for all. She is passionate about supporting adults and couples who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, emotional regulation, grief/loss and relationship navigation, including conflict resolution. Through an intentional emphasis on creating a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space, Ashley’s objective is to help clients foster a sense of hope and comfort during the therapeutic process by exploring the challenges they face and uncovering the strategies and innate strengths they possess to help them navigate these challenges.

A range of interventions and skills can be used in sessions and will vary for each client; these can include elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Ashley is trained in the Gottman Method for working with relationships/couples and is currently accepting new referrals for individuals, couples and family clients. Services can be provided in-person, virtually via telehealth or by phone.
